I hope to do a set of four prints based around the elements.

The small fly in the ointment being that I only have three pieces of lino.

Third time's the charm

More ink, more pressing and rubbing, and I think the best print I'm likely to get from the block.

I'm so ridiculously pleased with these.

Better, but not quite enough pressing on the right(left) hand edge.

First Print

I was reading a couple of sites on printmaking earlier tonight, and one said that there's no feeling in the world quite like the feeling when you peel the paper off to see the print. They were right. It's so very exciting.

Unfortunately, I was a little too gentle with this one - not enough ink, not enough rubbing, but I quite like the effect anyway.

I actually just loved how this looked as soon as the ink went on, before it even touched the paper.
