Blow |
Blow is "an interactive
installation experience of New Zealand
art and design". It's designed and
curated by Tracey Collins and Sue
Gallagher (she's me cuz!), but with
contributions from many New Zealand
designers.
It's basically the art of theatre set
design. It's something that's barely
considered in New Zealand, but
internationally New Zealand designers
have done very well. Blow is off to the
Prague Quadrennial later in 2007, where
I'm sure it will do us all proud.
I had so much fun exploring it. There's
a lot to see, hear, feel smell and
taste. It was engaging and challenging
and totally drew me in, and I like that
with art.
It's on display at the BNZ Foyer of the
Aotea Centre from 12 to 24 March. Go and
see it and get the poppadom guy to paint
you!
