The shed is almost finished.
I like to think of it as a potential "cottage" or office (especially after what it cost to build!).
I designed it so that it could be used as a shed for now, but wired later for either a small office or studio.
I still need to have the underside of the roof trimmed, the sills installed and the trim painted. I am not sure if I will paint the whole shed next year, but if I don't I'll replace the corner trim with cedar as well .. for a more streamlined look.
This shed/cottage is my alternative to a garage on my small city lot. By choosing this route I have reduced the amount of non-permeable area in my back yard.
and ... yes, I know that by placing the two corner doors so close that they all can't be opened at the same time. The doors should have been outswing doors, but the price was good... so, I went with these. :)

Lynne, this is wonderful. The
"shed" can be used for so many
things. And I like the slim window on the
right. You could work late into the night
feeling almost as if you're working outdoors.
Gorgeous. :)

S.V. I love the window too.
I like to collaborate with people. The two
guys who built my studio knew the parameters,
so when it came time to buy the windows I
sent them out to scrounge up what they could
find at a used building supply place. Sure
enough, the genius of these two Emily Carr
grads was obvious! :)

ooooh, can I rent it? =o) for someone with
ideas of the Okanagan, you are still building
your plantation in the city...

Ah ha, that's because ideally I would like to
keep a foot in the city, while the other one
is in the country. There is a groovy basement
suite in my house that I may just live in one
day. Then I can rent the upstairs. :) Sneaky,
huh! :)
