Firstly, the sun still shines in winter.
Secondly, go out and explore the beauty of
winter. Even the simple snow flakes is an
example of beauty that winter shares with us.

Her facial expression is that of dazzlement.
Another great capture by you.

In your photo, the sun is shining from more
than one source. Lovely face. The vibrant
colours capture the essence of childhood and
the prettiness of being a girl.

Nice pic.
You might want to see the works of another
imprisoned pastor, Richard Wurmbrand. In
prison he learned to appreciate even that
which he did not have. He was thankful for
having absolutely nothing.
Gett out in a snowstorm, take a camera and
have some fun.
Regards.

Thank you, all, for the kind words.
1. I am indeed noodling an idea for a
picture book... any idea of structure or
title?
2. This is Texas vacation sunlight (in
January notheless)... so wonderfully
omnidirectional. Now I'm back home...
expecting 10 inches of snow tonight. :(

Torbor has a good point Sean. I understand
that commercial appeal is not what you have
in mind when you shoot, but your work is
distinctive and memorable...and therefore has
commercial appeal.
Your words are so important in balancing
the image and setting a scene for the viewer
to imagine, this personal context is a large
part of what makes you, YOU.

Gorgeous image and without a doubt, gorgeous
words and I will certainly agree with
mthurmanator, your photographs are beautiful
and quite distinctive, a book I can see, I'll
be first in line. Thank you once again.

Chicago winter, maybe - but there's sunshine
in those eyes! :-)
As I've told you before - I love the way
you manage to tell a story through a close up
portrait..:-)
(Btw, I'm busy, but fine - thank you for
asking! Hope everything's okay with you as
well (besides the winter-blues)

Yes there is sun in the winter, but not
enough of it. And we spend so much of our
time indoors in these sedentary days that we
are not getting enough sunlight to satisfy
our programming.
I know exactly how you feel...
Which is why I enjoy looking through the
pictures I took in the summer, or looking at
images like this.

just stopping by to say hello! Wonderful
portrait
Yes, it's beautiful now here in Houston.
The winter is over well we really didn't have
one to begin with. I might be heading to
Chicago very soon.
Just like we need the natural light we need
Christ in our lives he is our light!
