Mary's Mural

To take full advantage of Flickr, you should use a JavaScript-enabled browser and

This thing rode for years and was a Montrose landmark. Out of nowhere it was entirely covered with the exception of the cat. I can't recall a single other Mural in Houston with so much history. Maybe I just haven't looked hard enough.

Does anyone know why it was painted over? (Offensiveness is out considering how long it rode)
