Here is a photograph of Madge the Malayan Tapir who lives at Twycross Zoo in England.

Up until recently Madge was the only Malayan Tapir at Twycross. But now she has been joined by Colin, a Malayan Tapir who arrived in April from the Heidelberg Zoo in Germany.

They are not yet in the same enclosure, but they are next to one another and judging by the tapir prints in the mud they have been chatting to one another through the fence.

	Madge, Malayan Tapir says: Madge and Colin have now been gently introduced together and their have been some scraps where Madge got some small wounds but she is on anti bi- otics to make her go back to her old lazy self but Mark the Hoofstock and carnivore keeper says they might mate in a matter of months so they will be baby tapirs at twycross zoo but their has not been ny for over 6 years Posted 14 months ago.
