A boomerang shaped island that belong to the Spratly group of islands. Taken from 32,000 ft over the South China Sea. Took this shot while on cruising altitude on my way to Kuala Lumpur. You can notice these group of islands approximately 45 minutes from take-off, if you maintain a speed slightly below supersonic and taking off from Manila's international airport.

The island or atoll change its shape depending on the season, and to the direction of the current. You can view this at google earth. Just type in the following in the search box:
