Weiming

This is Weiming. She was one member of a great family, but I put her first because I love this particular capture. Her mother, Mika, is mixed Chinese and Japanese, while her dad is Anglo. Her brother and sister follow in the upcoming pictures. This is one of the rare times that I feel like I got a good picture of each kid.

It's still unbelievably hot in Tucson, so they were very good to hang out in the sun for a bit and it was great to be in the shade. Even though I've moved to taking less and less time with families, I was with them for a long time, and it reminded me that the best way to build rapport and get a good picture is to hang around for awhile.

Mark and Mika are mom and dad. Look for a neat series of photos with Mark as the lounge chair. Land, Weiming (Wei) and Ayumi are the kids.
