Four Famous Turtle Brothers :: ..world renowned for their incredible skills under their Legendary master, Hamato Splinter.

But only 1 will face the Snapping Abomination for prosperity ..and a bigger slice of the pizza.

Wait these Turtles ain' got time for pizza !!

The 'invader of the nest' ..Leonardo's actions set into motion the catastrophy and cave-in at the sewers that would nearly kill him.

It also almost landed him on on the main-coarse at the "Giant Snapper All - You - Can - Eat, Chase n' Grill" .. as the "DEVOUR - ER" would have made a real quick lunch of Leo..quicker than it takes an army of Binge Eaters to clear out the local "Golden Corral" restaurant.

An angry moment after an exhaustive chase, battle , ..absolutely tired of pursuit by monster Terrorpin ..after his initial capture by the Fish-woman..

he had just about enough .. .. a second encounter by the Sewage would have Leo threaten to slaughter her unhatched egg with his swords if she did not halt her advance.

In his desperation ..the entire fight and flight.. there was chance to communicate with the creature (( you try to 'talk things out' when ya got a alligator snapper chasing you thru' the tunnels.. a Snapper that's bigger than a bus !! )).

There was no time to asses the situation, no time to communicate, no time to escape.

Actions speak louder than words ..and Leonardo's blades can often help him speak the loudest.

Luckily this time.. Michelangelo's voice was just a little bit louder and halted Leonardo from making matter's worse by breaking the Fish-woman's egg amidst the garbage.

Leo carries alot of weight on his shoulders, aside from his shell..a weight and a burden his brothers often overlooked and even took for granted.

While possibly the most hardened of the four.. Leonardo is also the most dedicated to Bushido as a warrior. He had always followed Master Splinter's teachings to obsession.

He also realizes that the survival of a warrior is made up of choices.. and some of the instant choices the warrior makes can be terrible.

Again misunderstanding and communication were all cut drastically short because of the 'WEIGHT; of the situation.

It could be said that Sewage , Terrorpin, & Leonardo had a real falling out.

The Snapper and Fish-woman, and her egg were left for dead.. however time has proven that they did not.

..any future encounters with Leo would prove not just a 'Blast from a Past' but a **SNAP**.

A few have said this isn't the strongest design .. but i get so little feedback sometimes, it's hard so .. .. i want all 4 of the guys to look distinct from each other (( even if i don't use them in the final piece or not )) . Leo shall look the cleanest of the 4 .. and yeh i kind of want him to have a 'Boy Scout' stance about him, confident, and bold.. even tho' he's alot more than that. That actually stems alot from Dan .. Berger always ..well mostly .. had illustrated the guys with different facial features and postures to make them easier to recognize on the B / W page. At least early on he did. I still think he does this to a degree. His characters burst of personality and slap-stick . Think another thing is.. when i went to cartoon school .. i really was EDUCATED IN CARTOONS.. .. I AM a Former Animator !! there's a lot of squash and stretch in just about everything i create. ..while Leo's designs here are a little wacky.. that is kinda the point. but whatever .. i gotta suck it in and accept.. not everything i do is EVERYONE'S cup of tea. It's hard. But again ..these are all just concepts.. .. the focus really is try try to use the B / W.. dunno why i threw that red on there.. ugh .. o well . thanks, guys .. >v< Posted 4 months ago.
