-->> Legendary indy comic artist Mark Bodé's fun '80s hit (or miss) ..Miami Mice !! Yep exactly how it sounds.. a homage and fun parody of some popular detective show from the 1980s i'm sure noone ever heard of. Starring hero mice Stubo n' Rocket out to protect against evil vendettas !! This issue was super special.. as it crossed over to other popular indy comic icons.. the TMNT and Cerebus the Aardvark . Dave Sim,Peter Laird, and Kevin Eastman helped Bodé and Bill Fitts on the artwork where appropriate. The Turtles are have a pretty big role in helpin' the Mice defeat the bad guys in a big Cat Nip bust.. grumpy ol' Cerebus doesn't actually appear until the very end of the comic in the bar. This was the second time as far as i know of anyway where ..Cerebus encountered the Turtles. His first hooked up with the green team and Timestress Renet inTMNT vol.1 #8 ..where they stormed an ancient castle of the Evil Time Warlord Savanti Ramero !!
..classy and classic .. this is one of my favourite books of all !! >v<

I hadn't seen this one.
I've always dug the indy guys who did crossovers for fun, as I always thought that was the point to begin with.
And any time Kevin Eastman is involved in something, I just dig it. I've had the pleasure of meeting Kevin a couple of times and he's an incredibly humble guy. He's also such a proponent of the art form that he started in. Without him, Heavy Metal would have been gone long ago.
I first met Kevin Eastman at the San Diego Comic Con back in 1998. It was the set-up day and I was heading over to the in-progress Marvel booth. I was walking with Matt Ragone, then VP of Marketing for Marvel. We walked by a smaller table being set up by a guy in cutoff shorts and a toolbelt. Matt knew him, stopped by and talked for a quick bit. I was introduced to "Kevin" and we went on.
As we walked away, I asked who it was and was shocked to learn it was multi-millionare TMNT co-creator Kevin Eastman!
Any guy who has done as much as he has and still feels he needs to do his manual labor himself is awfully cool in my book. Super-rad dude.
