Texture, taste, portion, price, attitude!
I'm not a huge "gelato person",
but when I visited my little sister in
Florida a few months ago, I went somewhere in
Tampa/St. Pete called "Gelateria Del
Duomo". It was spectacular. I went
every single day and ordered a large every
time, it tasted THAT good. I've never had
anything, not kulfi, ice cream OR gelato like
this. So perfect, fresh, amazing
mouthfeel...if I had to order food at a last
meal, a vat of their strawberry would be part
of my list.
Oh! Strawberry-- there's more proof!
When I eat ice cream (which I do daily),
it's usually coffee, chocolate, mint chip and
similar...I don't choose fruit flavors. Same
with gelato, previously. I stuck with
hazelnut or Baci. :) When I visited this
Gelateria, they told me that I just HAD to
try "fragola"...it looked pretty,
but I was certain I would hate it-- I didn't.
They were right. It was soooo good (which
I'm sure you're convinced of, after this
excessively enthusiastic, hyper-wordy
comment!) :D
