Fantastic! I read Garfield as a kid, and PvP

That is Flippin' Awesome. I was a HUGE fan of
Jim Davis' art and I echoed a lot of it in my
"comics". I would fall over dead if
I had gotten something like that.

For as much guff as people today give
Garfield and his love of lasagna and his
hatred of Mondays, I'd wager it's any
cartoonists dream to have that kind of
success. Perhaps this is your next step!

I hate to burst your bubble, but you do
realize Davis hasn't actually drawn Garfield
in years, right? All of the artwork is done
by assistants, Davis runs the company.

Just because Davis doesn't draw the daily
comics you see in the paper doesn't mean that
he couldn't have drawn that one pic. I think
it would be interesting to see the two worlds
collide.... Scratch developing a fetish for
lasagna...Garfield trying to take over the
world.... it could happen ;)

Wow. If I ever got anything like that from
Jim Davis I would probably end up dying from
a heart attack. Garfield was my life when I
was a kid - I couldn't even imagine the
elation of getting anything like that.
