	threecee says: yes, Jasmic, this does hurt, on a number of levels. i think it's premature to be demolishing buildings before all law suits are resolved. also, some of these buildings could have been renovated and reused, and so it's a waste of resources and the needless destruction of some unique and interesting architecture that give the hood character. and, the vacant lots created will probably persist for years as trash-strewn eyesores or parking lots. just what we need. 	threecee says: so true. luckily, there are quite a few dedicated people who are bothering to do something about Atlantic Yards (Develop - Don't Destroy Brooklyn, for example), but we are up against a very wealthy developer with friends in high places, so it's a steep, uphill battle. the fat lady has yet to sing!
