Here is one of my favorite little residents
of La Chureca (I wish he isn't a resident).
He was just sitting there amongst the mud and
dirt observing the frenzy in front of him. I
do not know what there is more of, the flies
swarming around the garbage or the residents
themselves.
As soon as he saw me, you can see how he’s
on his way towards me. A few seconds later,
he had his arms around me and gave me a hug
and just sat there on my lap. Another little
boy a few feet away saw him doing that, and
came over to me and did the same. Imagine if
you will, me with one little boy on the left
and one on my right while I am documenting
the workers.
He asked me if he could do the photography
workshop next time. I told him perhaps if I
have more money to buy cameras.
Many of you have been asking me how you can
help. Currently we are accepting monetary
donations. Our website is under construction
still but it is well on its way. If you
would like to see it and would like to help
to make a difference in the lives of these
children through the art of photography,
please visit us at www.lensofvisionexpression.org.
Again, thank you so much for your support of
LOVE and the children.

Ah! That's the link I was looking for
earlier...
www.lensofvisionexpression.org/donate_used_ca
meras.php
I forgot the domain. Do we send to the P.O.
box or the street/suite address? Or do we
address as it is shown? Sorry, just want to
make sure it gets there...
Sounds like things are really progressing
with your project!

You already know the high regard I hold you
in Sam. Keep being the wonderful and
generous person that you are, and I will hope
that one day your example will inspire the
rest of us to follow suit. It is amazing
that a child can live in such conditions and
yet still display such warmth, openess and
desire for love as I see in his face. Hope
is not dead.
