thank you so much everyone for your kind
response to my last post. I was just sharing
this with someone the other day how hard it
is for people to trust the non for profit
organizations when they are asking for
donations. I have been hesitant to send
monetary donations til I started making
contacts with all these grassroot NGO's the
past couple of years. to see that with just
.50 (that is in cents) a kid in Cambodia can
to to school a day really put things in
perspective when I spend money buying
material things that I thought I need.
you can help and you can be assured that
your monetary gift you send to the NGO's I
have worked with will go directly to the
community and the children they work with.

children and their families.

Is there any reason the "more

Would like to know your lens zoom settings,

Hi Sam, i must say you not only good in
photography, you have a kind heart too. Your
photos have brought pple to realise that in
this modern world that we live in, there are
still many needy pple in many countries.
City folks waste food and in the other side
of the world, pple bearing have enough food
for the day. Good job to bring awareness on
poverty still exists and many children need
help.

thank you so much everyone for your kind
comments and support. As soon as I can
figure out a way to set up an account to
receive donations for Indra Devy Association
I will let those of you who are interested in
helping the children out know.
Rex, I am not sure why the details or exif
info did not show up...perhaps it's because I
was using Flickr to edit my photos?! and it
didn't show?
Take care now everyone and thanks again for
your well wishes.
Love,
sam

Ah... well, in the larger scope of things,
the EXIF data is pretty inconsequential to
the important story you are telling about the
region. Safe travels...
Oh Sam, btw, did you get my message in the
earlier post asking if we send used cameras
to the P.O. box or the street address?
Thanks!

Thats such an awful thing...50 cents for one
child - that's 25p over here! I can't
actually think of anything over here that
costs as little as 25p, how awful is that?
BTW, not sure if you got my mail but I'd
still like to buy a print off you for my
friend...maybe I could donate to LOVE instead
of buying one?

this is such a sad image, it speaks of
destitution and the way the grabage has been
strewn beneath the ramshackle homes suggests
hopelessness and perhaps surrender. Despite
that, I really like the textures and the
perspective in this photograph, and the way
everything converges in the darkness behind
the corrugated steel giving the impression of
the world collapsing in around the boy.

Where do I send ?
transcending art ....Using our medium to
value added activism.
Giving ? makes good cents and sense.
Big question to whom ?...there are so many
worthy causes.
Children are going to school hungry in
Montreal.
