for whatever reason, I can't seem to write
about my experience here the way I could
while I was in Nicaragua...I thank you for
your concerns for me...it's hard at times to
just be a bystander when I know I can do
something about it be it great or small and
those of you who offered to help out...thank
you for your kind offer.
The little girl who was abducted have been
found with her abductor by the Lao-Cambodia
border. She's been back home with her family
since Tuesday night. Her family is pressing
charges against him and I hope that justice
will be serve.

The narrow focal range is splendid, and I
like the way that the pen comes in and out of
focus as we move along the diagonal. The
flower and the book are symbolic, as is the
pen that is not recording the experience. As
for being a bystander, sadly, it is the
position of most people.

GLAD she is safely back home in the arms of
her parents. that frightens me to no end
with the wild fire of that going on.
Keep touching. Keep reaching. Even when
you feel like you're not making much head
way, know you are. You ARE. someone is
touched if not instantly by your efforts,
then down the road and forever your imprint
is left.

Hey Sam,
I've been so busy with two jobs and my
family I haven't had much time to follow your
photostream..or anyone else. I am very sorry
to hear about the little girl but glad to
hear she is back with her family. Sadly
there are far too many more who are not so
fortunate.
We call that flower a Frangipani and it has
the most magnificent arome.

and didn't know about the abduction, but I'm
so glad to hear she has been returned to her
family and that her abductor has been taken

For me this picture says 'business like
efficiency with a feminine touch, I can well
relate to your feelings about your present
trip, seen lots of sufffering myself and I
can't come to terms with the fact I can't
help everyone.
Very happy the girl was found. Stories like
that keep me awake at night.
