I like the symmetrie, the three bamboos in
the middle. It looks like a litle bit like as
a cartoon. With this photo I have a lot of
memorys about Asia, years ago.
Trane, sorry for my english, I'm really
trying very hard!

A thing that startled me first time I met a
bamboo grove was the SOUND, the incredible
sound they made when the wind hit the
trees...
I said "met" because you hear the
sound BEFORE you see them!
Thank you Trane for reminding me of that...

Ben — Thank you! Thank you!
Dádiva — I chose this spot for that three
bamboo symmetry, so well spotted! I'm glad
this shot could bring back some memories.
(And don't worry about the English — it's
perfectly fine!)
pkittycat — The Holga does that sometimes
(at least mine does). It seems to generate a
milky tone.
Siri — I love the sound of bamboo in the
wind. Especially when one or two stalks
start 'clunking' against each other to form a
dialogue or a rhythm.
Jolo — Luminous Holga!
Dean — Bamboo is irresistible! At least
this isn't the same old grove near my house
though . . .

Last week I took a similar photo, with 4 or
5 pine trees in de middle and the Pyrenees as
background. It's not really the same picture,
but the same idea, about symmetry.
When I saw your photo I thought immediately
of my recent pine-tree picture.

Mark — Thanks for the nice words about my
images. I got your Flickr mail, so I'll send
a reply soon! I'm definitely interested in
the whole gallery prospect — especially
because you seem to be from the Bay Area, my
last point of residence before moving out to
Japan.
