Nothing but a great big teddy bear... that'll
rip your arms and legs off if you're not
careful! What a great shot! Love the detail!

I dont know if I would be one to get so close
to a grizzly either standing or sitting. I
was a bit freaked out by the buffalo
yesterday! This is a wonderful picture!

Wonderful texture, Roger. It's like we can
reach out and touch it. That grizzly is
certainly looking rather intently at
something.

I'm amazed at the small size of his eyes!
Beautiful capture, the true essence of the
grizzly!
When I was about 10, we took our annual
trek to Yellowstone in a 1959 Volkswagen
Beetle. (my father worked for Volkswagen)
We were stopped on the road, when one of the
bears begging for food came up to our car and
put it's front paws on the top of the car!
We were terrified when the car rocked and
happy when it left! A number of people got
out of their cars to take pictures and when
we stopped a few miles up the road, one
couple took our name and address and promised
to send us pictures. Several weeks after
arriving home they came in the mail and
Volkswagen of America published them in
several of their publications and sent copies
to all of their dealerships. Thanks for the
memories! :)

only a big teddy? what a mistake!
about 10 cm long dog teeth and claws
jaw compress: 250 kg/cm2
weight: 300kg
and more than 2m tall (standing)
and these bears are very quickly running
sprinters. they can run about 60km/h on
50-100m long distance (three times faster
than running man ;-).)
they can force a door of a car with their
forelegs, so they are very powerful.
still only a big teddy?
