What happened here! - Did Billy forget to
water this plant - oh, I forgot about the
water shortage in Atlanta - anyway, this is
definitely an example of a condition that is
commonly known as "sunflower sunshine
shortage" that occurs every-time he
decides to go away.
You have captured the beauty of the essence
of this wilted sunflower - dramatic (I know
the feeling)!

I love how you've captured the velvet of the
the sepals, the striations of the
petals--tones to die for, too!

Hung over from a recent party, perhaps?
Feed her a little scotch and water. She'll
be perky in no time flat.
Happy un Birthday, hun ;-)~ bunz

Fran, Thank you so much! The Eva Cassidy
version of that song has been stuck in my
head and was the first thing I thought of
when I saw this at the green market. :~)
Conni, Ha! This sunflower was like a dog in the
pound; just waiting for some love...
Thank you Masako! I love the way you described this.
Kelley, Thank you Darlin'! :~)
James, LOL! She was sitting in a bucket of water
with some friends looking just as sad.
Grazie, mio amico!
Thank you Nubi!
Brenda, Ha! Maybe a little too much emotion. ;~)
Thank you though, I love the idea of all the
potentially happy sunflowers that can
possibly come from this one.
Thank you Broderick! Maybe we can check the green market out
together before we leave.
Andrea, Thank you very much for your beautiful
description.
Billy, Many thanks, my B! :~) xo
Rhett, LOL! If only! Scotch and water might do
the trick; I think she's a little past the
aspirin and water thing or one of the little
FTD packets. ;~D
