Great idea. Very useful.

There is another parameter in this equation though which play an important part. The size of the room, colour and distance of the walls to the subject.

It would be interesting to see the results of similar size light sources at similar distances, but in such a large space that reflections from the walls no longer came into play significantly.

brfuk you are totally correct. One of things that surprised me is the low reflection I got from the walls. On the other hand, the space is nice. (not a huge studio, but our living room and kitchen form a large space. Another option which I should have thought of was to use a black card on camera left.
