"El Salto" Waterfall

This is from last year.

This waterfall is 35 meters tall. Unanfortunatelly only with equiment you can go down where are another two small waterfalls. Since the water was running with a lot of andry I decided that was the closest point that I could go. THis foto is a pano of 7 photos taken @20mm on a Canon20d to maximize usefull eare when panning.

Quite better in huge!

The previous days to this photo someone said rained in the same amounts that in a hurricane, but with out the winds. Since we had a weeding in Tampico. We had to deviate almost 300km to surround closed roads. The last time I went to Tampico I saw a couple of spots to take pictures... so as any landscaper does I woke up earlier I went to those places... ups ... they’re closed! With lots of heavy machinery. Probably to fix their access point du to the flood. So all defeated I went to this beach knowing that there will be lots of drunk guys. When I tried to find a CLEAN (from people and from their garbage) I realice that most of the piece of land used to park ... where actually flooded. So for my lucky this spot complete flooded was alone, and clean.

To avoid some of the "guys having fun"; I decided to use f11. Also ... I forgot the mosquitoes deterrent. Baddd.

Exposure: 260 sec @ f/11
Lens: Canon17-40 f4L
Filters:
GND 2stops to avoid get a burned sky.
CLP to minimize water and some crystal reflection on the sand. (How I figured out
How to use it the "dark"... just at the left were some guys flashing themselves
With some lamps... I used to focus and to calibrate my CLP.

Noise reduction 10%

Post Processing
Cloned out dust bunnies.
Color burst 10%
Digital filter applied to make it look colder (It was 30ºC). With out any filter look next photo below.
Noise reduction.
Reduced size and sharpened.
