Not cheesy at all. I would be very happy if I
could get a self portrait to come out so
well.

I don't know, but I don't mind. It's my
first time being published in a national
publication!

it came out well because I (his wife) took
it!
Of course, he set it all up and all I did
was push a button! Glad I could help!

Your wife has done well here. Ever since I
got into photography I have found it
incredibly difficult to have my picture taken
as I spend most of the time worrying about if
the person shooting is composing it right,
have I set up the camera correctly, what
about the white balance and so on....The
result is lots of photo's of me with a
quizzical look on my face.

Hello Webel
Apologies re Top20China, Im a new
"Chump" bumbling around but getting
there I think.
When Top20 just accepted my photo I left it
at that.
Next time I will be audacious and delete
someone's hopes.
Do I delete before I post or after?????
The Fan is great, I love fans and you look
pretty good yourself.

no problem 'missnoma' - you can delete before
or after, it doesn't matter so long as you do
it in a reasonable amount of time.

Mr. Webel,
I always am in awe with the lighting in
your photos.
What kind of studio lighting did you use?
And the flashgun?
In all, this picture deserves a BIG score
and I have to congratulate your wife with
this remarkable shot.

I wish I had studio lighting! This lighting
is a combo of natural light, the 3600 Minolta
flash (bounced off the ceiling) and a gold
colored reflector that I was holding below
the frame.
In most of my indoor shots I usually try
several with fill flash - bouncing it at
various angles from the walls or ceiling and
I sometimes also bring out a reflector or two
and then decide which looks the way I want
it...
Experimentation is the key!
Thanks for the comments!
