perfect! macs are annoying... I use a mac
at work and hate the mouse's acceleration
even after I use software to turn it off it
still is on somehow. it makes things so
inaccurate for design work and slows me down.
out of the box it sucks and the icons bounce
and zoom around like a toy. I don't need a
computer toy!

Make fun if you must - but it's the
Software that counts
Photoshop and ACDSee work great for photo
work, and Imy pc is four years old - I even
watch TV and movies on it, like everyone
else. Plop in new Hard drives when I need
more space. Cheap to build and maintain.
And at work it's PC's so I'm comfortable wtih
all the PC look and feel.
The Mac Adertisement just sounds stupid to
me.
A friend tried to show me how wonderful her
Apple was but had trouble showing me anything
useful... ok that was a few years ago. I
know the apples seem to be much more Stylish
- white with the sweet white mouse - and yes
the monitor that comes with Apples are really
nice monitors.
anyway - okok - I'm ready for the flaming
that's about to happen.

PC's are so clunky and inadequate, I can't
imagine any designer preferring one. Well
perhaps a bad designer.
That stated, I don't really like the apple
mouse, I use a logitech mouse on my Mac.

Good lord, what a goofy bag of worms that's
been opened here! Hilarious altering of the
best Mac/Apple ad campaign to date!
I'm a Mac user, have been since 1988 and
always will be. I never found PC's to be
"user friendly" but then I'm an
artist and 100% visual and Mac's layout
speaks to my kind of mind. The only issue I
have with Mac's is the company Apple has a
tendency to shoot itself in its foot by not
keeping its prices more in line with the
accessibility of PC's. PC's are simply more
affordable.
That being said PC's are thus more
vunerable to virus' than Mac's...hacker's
simply don't care about us Mac folk cause
they're not going to get the kind of
attention they do with hurting millions of PC
users.
And for me the main bonus to being a Mac
user is I know how to exist in a PC world. I
can work on a PC at work, using Microsoft
Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. and then come home
and work on my Mac. I don't know many PC
user's who have dual-platform experience.
As for Optic Desire not liking the Mac mouse....JUST use a
different mouse! I have a Logitech
three-button with scroll wheel. Ok so this is
a work computer? Tell your boss that in
order for you to do your job you need a mouse
that works, it's not like they're that
expensive in the grand scheme of things. AndNYCArthur, I have a simple eMac that is 3 years old
and is completely upgradable in terms of
memory and VERY EASY to install as well.
Just couldn't resist adding my 2 cents!!

and i hate it. i never worked ona mac, but if
i had the money i would definetly give up my
pc, only if it was for the "out of the
box" concept.
there are so many mac communities, so, they
really must love them!

I use both. My MAC PowerBook crashes just as
often or more often than my PC. I recommend
MAC to people who don't want to know about
computers But they just want to use them.

Mac guy should stop looking worried - before
PC guy could pull the trigger the clip would

With a Mac you don't have to learn about
registries, blue screens of death or
thousands of worms, viruses and exploits. You
see, a Mac is a fine tool that lets you do
your work and gets out of your way. Using
Windows XP is like walking around all day in
shoes that are two sizes too small. If I
wanted to have to worry about tweaking my
computer every day just to get it to work,
I'd get a PC. I don't have time for that.
That is why I use Macs, I want a computer not
a hobby.
I have to use a Dell at work and it is the
most miserable machine I have ever used in my
life. I have three Macs at home and none of
them give me a tenth of the trouble that
stinking PC does. If you prefer PCs, go for
it. I will stay with my Macs. I don't have
the patience to own a PC.

@peter govind - It is very easy to take pot
shots when you are hiding behind an alias. I
stand by what I say. I don't need to hide. I
am not saying you shouldn't use Windows or
Linux. You may have the time to tinker with
both until they work for you. I on the other
hand want to use my computer to do things
right away. What is really infantile is to
insult people and put them down because they
prefer one platform over another.
I have used both PCs and Macs for many
years now. I know my way around both. My
personal experience is that Macs are easier
to use. Your experience may differ. It is
silly to call people names because they don't
do what you like. One thing is poking fun at
a company and its advertisements. It is very
different to generalize and insult people
because they use this product or that.
Generalizing and insulting entire groups of
people is the true mark of ignorance. No
wonder you have to hide.

@markhurd The Mac guy has a PlayStation,
NIntendo, MBox or some other dedicated gaming
device. A gaming PC costs thousands of
dollars and becomes obsolete very quickly. A
console costs much less and has many more
games available.
If the Mac wants to play PC games he can
boot into Windows and plays them natively on
his Intel CPU.
Lastly, there is more to life than just
gaming.
