Thanks Leviathor - I used multi-shot, but for
some reason One Shot focus worked better than
AI Servo:)

You started off with the hardest subject!! A
living thing!! Great motion on the grass, the
motion looks amazing there. I think you got a
good result with your dog. Because the
movement is not uniform people and animals
are tough, the focus on the dog could be
better as you know, but I love the motion on
that grass.
Compositionally I'd love to see more space
to the left rather than the right... (:
I want to see more!! (:

Wow, thank you so much to everyone for the
wonderful feedback - you have all made my
day:) I was a bit hesitant about posting
this since this was the first time I tried a
shot like this - I really appreciate
everyone's visit!
scotbig: Here are the basics of what I've
learned. I set my camera to shutter priority
to 1/30 second exposure. As I took the shot,
I followed the motion of Ramona so she was
near the center of my view and even after I
clicked to take the picture, I followed
through with the panning motion.
Wam Mosely: I appreciate your constructive
input! I agree about a little more space on
the left - I thought about cropping a bit on
the right to make it a little more balanced.
Thanks again for your advice on panning
shots!
Leviathor: Thanks for letting me know - I
was away from the computer all day today and
I might have missed seeing this on the
Explore page - what a wonderful surprise!

Phenomenal capture! I wish I had a dog I
could use as a model to try this out! ;-P

bliss on doggie's face. ;-)

Thank you again to everyone - I appreciate
all of your visits! With the exception of
gobbling up doggie treats and enjoying a
belly rub, Ramona's favorite thing to do is
to get other dogs to chase her and try to
outrun them:)
Wam Mosely: I have tried a few different
shutter speeds, but 1/30 seconds seemed to
work the best for me:)

Dave Eggers has a short story from the point
of view of a dog in his book called How we
are Hungry. This shot made me think of that
short and how obessed that dog charachter was
with being a "fast fast fast fast
dog"
