"It's warm up here in the summer time" is a relative statement, as Briana and I found out.

This was taken on June 17, 2008. Briana and I were in Maine for a workshop and we were spending some time doing some shooting along the coast. We are from the desert. We are used to temperatures well over 100 for this date. It's in our blood, so to speak.

I remember asking Tanya if it was warm up there and she assured me it was. So we brought appropriate clothes for, you know, warm

'Warm' is relative. At the time of this shoot, it was threatening rain and was hovering a little above 50 degrees. We hardly ever see 50 degrees even at Christmas... as a matter of fact Bri and I agreed that summer in Maine and Nova Scotia closed resembled Christmas in the desert southwest.

All in all it was great fun though. Bri is freezing in this shot and I am really feeling the cold.

One 'main' speedlight on a stand to camera left and one fill strobe on a stand on camera right... aimed up a bit so the light wont affect any shadow, but add a little fill to the face. The second light was tuned to a stop less than the main.
