Yes, it's a working iPhone. However, the screen was blanked when he lifted it up off the elmo to talk about it. Too bad, because it'd have been really nice to snag it with the screen on.
Would be great to get one of these Google Maps pins.
Note all the fingerprint smudges... eww!

Are those fingerprints on the screen of the
iPhone?
Love the Google Maps pin. Is there
something like a Google shop where you can
buy apparel or those pins?

FReigM: Yep. Those are Michael's
fingerprints. I can see some of the the
swirls in a 100% view. I don't know about the
pins, however. That's the first one that I've
seen. It should be something they give away
at their booth.

It's worth noting, when I turn off my iMac
and look at the screen it's covered with
prints and marks, yet when I'm using it (like
now) and looking directly at the screen,
these marks are invisible. Prints are better
than scratches anyway (as in the iPod), thank
God the screen is made of toughened glass,
thank God!

Its not a big deal if you can keep a good
cleaner with you. I am sure jobs has one
running around as you know he just keeps his
in his pocket. They have the one called
iKlear, but it has a big blue cloth that
looks like your window cleaning or something.
There aren't really many out there as to why
I hear people having complaints and resorting
to big cluncky cases. I did find one called
iKlenz that complements the look of the
iPhone, it has a case so I can keep it with
me, and the spray is made for the iPhones
Optical Glass.
All in all I like the phone by itself and
don't want to cover up my $600 dollar
"investment either" :)
So there is alternative you just have to
look hard to find them I guess.
