I was happy using gpstagr
to put my fotos on the map, now it seems to be discontinued.
Anyone know if will be running again, or have a different name, or is there anything else similar?

Dunno. There's still a website at that url. What does/did it do?
If you want to geotag photos from data in a tracklog, use (e.g.) Geosetter before upload. I've not heard of anything that will do that to photos already on flickr.

gpstagr is an easy to use site that geotags your fotos already on flickr.
you add the gpx file, then it finds relevant fotos, and tags them.
at the moment the site has expired

I also regret that GPSTagr can not be accessed. I hope that the owner will find soon that domain registration has been expired...

The domain "" expired and the owner hasn't renewed it, so it's been taken down.

I've been using this workaround to get around it:

Go to

Click on "Click here to continue"

It will go to and get a domain expired page.

Change the URL to

Then follow the rest of the steps just like normal.

And I get an error "Invalid frob" and the 600 000 photos uploaded on the same time interval. Is there a way to get my frob value correct?

The functionality seems to be available in a very similar site, geosyncr:
