Just wanted to say hello to all. Oh, and BTW... The D40 ROCKS! I'm sure you all knew that by now. See you guys around, and hope to see some great work from all you.

Can anyone tell me how I can add photos into the photo pool? Sorry, but I'm new on Flickr as well. Thx.

There are various ways. The easiest is probably to view your photo and click on the "Send to group" button along the top.

Ask for more detailed instructions if that doesn't help.

Thx basswulf.^^
Did anyone notice that the EXIF data on the D40 shows number of shutter releases? I am up to about 340; it seems like more.

What is EXIF data?
Almost all new digital cameras save JPEG (jpg) files with EXIF (Exchangeable Image File) data. Camera settings and scene information are recorded by the camera into the image file. Examples of stored information are shutter speed, date and time, focal length, exposure compensation, metering pattern and if a flash was used.

I`m new here, and I don`t have my D40 yet. But I do know that it`ll arrive late February. I can`t for that day, I`ve already bought filters for the 18-55mm lens and magnification filters.
And I`m very curious to see how the 70-300mm will work on the D40.
See you all soon!

I have the 70-300 zoom and find it works great!
