Welcome to the Golden Age of Advertising 1950s - 1970s!

The idea for this group is to create an extensive and international catalog of advertisement works from the early 50s to late 70s, including not just magazines ads and posters, but also less popular formats as packaging, logotypes, letterheads, calendars, business cards, and so on...

Feel free to post your images and comments!

Group Description

Advertising works from early 50s to late 70s:

Posters, Magazine Advertisements, Brochures, Booklets, Publishing, Calendars, Packaging, Letterheads, Logotypes, Graphic Design and Commercial Illustrations in general...

Please don't post retro images! Only scans or photos from original vintage material.

Group Rules

Although there are no specific rules to participate in this group, here they go some guidelines to keep the content on the best logical way possible:

• Please don't post retro images: understanding for "retro" those images that seems to be old, but they are really contemporary copies or reconstructions. As the main idea for this group is to create an original image catalog, you may add only scans, photos or copies from original / vintage materials published between 1950s and late 1970s.

• When possible, always try to add good quality images in the highest resolution available: Small size (under 400px), low res, pixelated or terribly cropped images wont help anybody.

• Again, when possible, try to add a complete description for your images. It's a good idea to include at least: A) the name of the product on the ad, B) slogan or title, C) date and D) country. Any other info that helps to locate and identify the ad, like the name of the advertising company, art director or artist, etc. it's most welcome!

• Feel free to post any comment or topic as you like, but try to keep in mind the nature and objectives of this group...
