Earlsheaton tunnel is at Dewsbury and was part of the LNER loop line through Batley and Ossett, to Wakefield.
Earlsheaton tunnel is to have lighting installed and a greenway path will be constructed. Good news for tunnel addicts !!

A path is being laid across the viaduct over the River Calder, also in Dewsbury, see here.

Good and bad news yes, it does bring new life to those old railways and lets more people see inside these tunnels, the downside is they are spoilt totally from an exploration and photographic viewpoint.
New paths and lighting in them spoiling the out of bounds and derelict atmosphere I.M.O.
