Alrighty. I'm back. I've been in stealth mode but this past month I've made some really awesome progress.

I jumped up to 162 again and really felt heavy for 2 or 3 days in the middle of june, so I set again to get back to working out and eating right.

Wednesday I weighed in at 154 in the morning

so I wasn't planning on weighing in today, ... but i walked past the scale and was feeling good, so i gave it a go:

150 today.

My target weight is 135 so =) making it back to 150 for the first time this year is motivation to keep going with what I'm doing and smile along the way.

(at the suggestion of the posts previously, I made this. Feel free to chime in with your own weigh in on Tuesday or whatever r day you wweigh in on)

I haven't been on here in a while. I was down to 135...I haven't weighed in because I do not have a scale right now. I think I might have gained five pounds back, but I started working out again today, so hopefully I will lose those 5 pounds and maybe 5 more and then I just need to maintain. I hope everyone else is doing good.

Last Tuesday I was 259.8. I'm shooting for under 190, so I've got 70+ pounds to take off. Ugh. I'll be going on vacation soon, which can have an unpredictable effect on my weight. On the one hand, we're eating out every meal. On the other hand, I'm not sitting around snacking! We'll see.

Anyway, I'll be weighing in again tomorrow. With any luck, I'll be organized enough to get a photo taken and posted!

I weighed in this morning at 258.8, down 1 pound from last week. I took a picture, but didn't have time to post it. I'll do so later today.

I ran my weight through the BMI calculator at and found that, at 259.8, my BMI was 34.3. At 258.8, it's 34.1. In order to get down to a BMI of 29.9 (where I'll be merely overweight rather than obese) I'll have to get my weight down to 227. That's 32 pounds away. If I managed to lose 2 pounds per week, that would take me out to November 6. Of course, I'm more likely to lose 1 pound per week, but I can dream!

Goodness, what a hangover! I'd call it a beer belly, but I don't drink. Although after looking at that photo.... :-)

As you might have guessed by my absence (what, you didn't notice?), I haven't exactly been rapidly shedding pounds recently.

Four weeks ago (July 17) I was 258.8.

The week after that (July 24) I was on vacation, so I didn't get a chance to weigh myself.

When I got back, I weighed in on Saturday, July 28 and found that I was at 261.0, having gained over 2 pounds on vacation. Well, eating out every day while on vacation can do that.

Three days later at my normal Tuesday weigh-in day on July 31, I found that I was up to 262.8! Okay, I can't blame that one on vacation.

A week later, Aug 7, I was at 260. Hooray! Down nearly 3 pounds!

Today, Aug 14, the scales said I was at 262.2. *sigh*

Okay, so I'm going to have to get a bit more serious about this in order to make any headway. I recorded all of my calories today and did much better. With any luck (and a bit of self-control), next Tuesday I'll be at 260! (Again.)

I did well this week, counting my calories and staying within the limit I set. As a result, when I weighed in this morning I was at 259.6, down 2.6 pounds from last Tuesday.

That's good, but I'm actually disappointed, because when I weighed myself two days ago, I was at 256. I know that 3.6 pound difference just represents changes in my water weight, which can vary widely from day to day, but it's still annoying. :-)

Oh well. I'm confident I'll be back to that 256 soon!

Hi, djloche, have you been making any progress on getting to 135?

So last week i was at 155 on wednesday and today i'm at 155 again... the 3 weeks previous i kinda fell off track on exercising and eating right, but it's good that i'm maintaining - not gaining anything - yesterday i added surfing into my daily routine in addition to running a mile or so. The new routine just started yesterday, so hopefully i see some loss by next week

Another Tuesday, another weigh-in. I was at 256 this time, down 3.6 pounds from last Tuesday. Woot! Only 67 pounds to go. *sigh*

well I'm still at 152 but i think it was expected after having arbys twice this week ^_^ special occasion or not, that much roast beef can't be good for me, but it tasted amazing

On 9/4 I was at 255.4, down just 0.6 pounds from the previous week.

On 9/11 I was at 253.2, down 2.2 pounds from the week before and down 9 pounds from when I started on 8/14. 9 pounds in 4 weeks. Woohoo!

so yesterday I was down 1 to 151, surprisingly because i had eaten greek food and jack in the box on saturday and then didn't get to the beach on monday.

Can I just say that I've been bad and will do better next time?

Oh, OK, I'll 'fess up. On 9/11 I was at 253.2, which was good. Then I was bad. When I weighed myself on 9/18 I was at 257.2, a gain of 4 pounds! The next morning I was at 259! Ack! How quickly it can all come back!

Well, this morning I was at 255, so I'm knocking things back down again. With luck, by 9/25 I'll be back below 253. (Note to self: Calories count!)

Today (9/25) I was at 251.8, which is 5.4 pounds down from what I was on 9/18 and 1.4 pounds down from what I was on 9/11. So after a bit of a setback, I'm back on track. With luck (and counting calories) next week I'll be below 250 for the first time since... well, a long time ago!

I was still at 146 this morning,... i guess i really have to follow the diet + exercise together to keep losing weight ^_^ it was a quite the busy week so ... i went surfing today!

Today I'm at 144! woot! down 2.

There are ~10 more weeks left in the year, so I'm right on track to be 135 by the end of the year!

on tuesday I was still at 144, and while I'm worried that I haven't been able to get out and surf or run due to the fires, i think i'll be fine and able to cut at least 1 pound by this next tuesday

Ugh. 253.8 today. I've been backsliding for the last few weeks, so I've gained rather than lost. Life has been a distraction. Must stay focused! Must stay focused!

Unfortunately, we're entering the cold months, and I have a tendency to eat when I'm cold, so I'll have to keep my appetite in check.

Today i'm at 143, down 1 from last week and surprised that my little digression from my diet and a week of little to no exercising resulted in me being down 1, but It means i'm still on track.

okay so i've been sick and haven't been able to get out and exercise, and i haven't been 100% faithful to my diet, so i'm citing those sources as the reason for the small weight gain...

I'm starting out at 131.8. Ten lbs more than I was at about a month and a half ago. Time to shape up!

About 2 years ago I was touching 190. Today I weighed myself for the hell of it and found I'm at 163. The fact that my 33's don't fit me well anymore is a really great feeling.

I used to be an athletic teenager in high school. I was 160 lbs (at 5'10) with a 32 inch waist. I had a very defined 6-pack and lived a very healthy lifestyle. Over the first two years of college, however, I gained 40 lbs. I didn't even notice as the pounds crept on month-by-month, year-by-year. I stopped exercising and began to eat more and more. Before I knew it, I was 23 and 100 lbs overweight. I finally decided to do somthing about it - I mean 20 lbs/year for 5 years streight is outragious!

I'm now down 50 lbs and 8 inches around my waist since 2 1/2 years ago, but I'm still a good 50 lbs and 8 inches from where I should be.

As of April 17, 2008 15:51 Pacific:

Weight - 225.8 lbs (at 5 ft 11 in)
Waist - 40.6 in
BMI - 31.5

I hope to loose this weight in 6 months. I have eaten 100 lbs onto my body and lost half of it in just under a decade. I hope to loose the remaining half by the end of this year! It will be tough, but I think I'm up to the challenge!
