There is a story to every picture I post. Sometimes the caption tells part of it. Sometimes not. The pictures and video clips tell of places I have been, beautiful or interesting sights I have seen, and people and cultures I have met.

My photos here that are tagged with a Creative Commons license are free for you to enjoy for noncommercial use. Please give proper credit to the photographer, though, preferably with my name and a link to our missionary web site ( or the page you found the picture on at If you are a Christian missionary, you may use my photos in prayer letters and slide shows. If you want to use one of my photos for any commercial use (like printing in a publication for sale, posting on a commercial web site, use in advertising, in a calendar, or anything else you get money for), please ask me for permission and my current best stock photo rates.

See for more information about me. You can read about my Boss here.

I'm happy to contribute pictures to relevant groups, but please don't be offended if I decline an invitation to participate in a group where I'm expected to comment on pictures every time I post to a group. I have limited time for this hobby, and something has to give...

Not all of my photos are public. Some family photos and photos of friends are visible only to friends and family, mainly because they would be of interest only to friends and family (i. e. they are pictures of friends and family). That means that to see those, you need to be logged in with your own flickr account (which you can get for free), and have me mark you as a contact who is a friend. Of course, I'll need your real name and your flickr account name to do that. Alternatively, if you are on our partner email list, I sometimes send out a guest pass link that lets you see these photos. Just bookmark that link.
