Ethical Photographer....I hope my images tell a story and that they bring a smile to your face! I pray that your children's children will be able to see all of the creatures we share this earth with in their natural environment and not just on a photo or in a zoo. I strive to show an animals personality in all of my images.

Thank you to everyone that follows, views, comments on my work. I appreciate it and wish I had time to add everyone back. I try hard to find the time to reciprocate on comments and faves. I often change my images around so they are not always shown by the date taken or posted.

Adding this paragraph because several people ask me for this information. I do this for love, but it's always nice to have your work recognized. My images have been published in Canadian Geographic (the latest 2018 or 2019 special children's edition - not sure when it comes out), Nature's Best Photography Magazine (3 different years 2018 being the latest including the cover), First for Women, State of the Birds Report, Rhode Island Magazine, Photography Week Magazine, Scholastic Magazine, National Wildlife Christmas Cards, Greenpeace Calendar (2016 & 2018), Parks Canada, Nature Canada, Canadian Wildlife Federation, Nature Conservancy, Cornell Lab of Ornithology (All About Birds, 354 day calendar, 2018 + 3 images in the 2019 yearly calendar), British Birds and Guiness Book of World Records to name but a few. My images have been featured on many websites such as Earth Shots, etc. One was named the top 40 in the Comedy Wildlife Awards 2016 and 2017 and published in their book released October 2017. I was honoured to have one of my images in the Top 100 2016 shots from Audubon and I have been contacted that I have one in Top 100 for 2018. I have just had word that I am shortlisted for Outdoor Photographer of the Year 2017 and again in 2018 for two images (not holding out much hope, but nice to be included). Just received an email that my image is included in the OPOTY 2017 book.

2018 has been a bit of a struggle as I fight ovarian cancer and I haven’t had a chance to photograph much. Fighting cancer again in 2021, this time it has spread 😳

A lover of nature and animals both great and small. Barb has a way of capturing their personalities, having fun along the way with an occasional prop. A lover of nature and animals both great and small. Barb has a way of capturing their personalities, having fun along the way with an occasional prop. I always look forward to her next upload and am never disappointed. Barb is an inspiration and I learn from her photos and from her kind words and comments on mine. A wonderful Flickr friend, very supportive and I'm honoured to be considered her friend. And, yes Barb, I'm sure if we lived near one another we'd get along famously!! You could introduce me to Eleanor and Poser. Update April 2011: Because she's a good and thoughtful friend, because she listens to my whining, because she's answered a million and one questions, because we share the same name, because we share the same birthday, because we joined on almost the same date, because she's the Lacey (albeit a brunette, Lacey that is, we all know Barb's a redhead) to my Cagney. Except - darn, we've still yet to meet face to fave...

Having contacts like Barb is what Flickr is all about!! Truly enjoying other peoples work and knowing they truly enjoy yours back is what matters is my opinion. Bard is a great contact! I feel very lucky to have met her here on this crazy site. I truly enjoy her photography. She has an excellent eye and works hard to add quality photography to her stream. Some of her shots are hilarious, and because of her great titles they make for a great laugh. The fact that she loves animals really shows in her work, and helps her capture them at their best. Keep them coming Barb!!! Dan

Barbaralynne is my most trusted contact. She is actually more than that and I am proud to call her my friend. I've had some personal problems at times and she has been very supportive even though it may not have anything to do with photography. On the photography note, Barb is an outstanding photographer. She is an avid nature lover and it shows in all her excellent nature photo's. You can see she really tries to get to know her subjects which I think is one of the most important attributes for a photographer. Barb is also frequently one of the first contacts to comment on my work and gives a lot more than the short "great shot" comment. Her comments are all very positive and helpful. I always look forward to "hearing" what she has to say about my work. I almost wrote a novel here but know I could write a lot more. I have never met Barb in person but know she is a wonderful person.
