Joe Flood

I'm a writer, photographer and web person from Washington, DC.

My subject is city life. I like to wander Washington and take photos of bikes, coffee, beer, dive bars, good meals and candid street scenes.

While I'm best known for my photos in the Washington Post's Capital Weather Gang, my work has also appeared in the Atlantic, Southern Living, Utne, Momentum, the Washington City Paper, DCist, We Love DC, Greater Greater Washington and elsewhere. An avid cyclist, I'm drawn toward photos of people biking in the city.

In addition, over the past couple years, I've documented the resistance to Trump in Washington, covering everything from Women's March to anti-Kavanaugh protests. It's important to show that American oppose the policies of this administration.
