I was until very recently, when travelling, only interested in advancing and promoting my professional interests. With introduction of dSLR's I was tempted to take up an old love, photography, and ventured into nature photography. After a lifetime of handling video equipment designed for looking into the human body it appeared that adapting would be a breeze. However, the contrast in imaging techniques involved did not make life easy, there was so much to learn. The difference in subject matter was an eye opener - there is a beautiful world out there too. I hope to share "captures" during my travel thru the marvel which is now no longer termed the world wide wait.

Equipment used:

Canon 20D, 1D Mark III recently

Main lens - EFS 100-400 IS L

more recently EFS 500 IS L

Just saw the above and realise that it has not been updated for years. While still correct generally my equipment has changed to the EOS 1DX

Main lens still - EFS 100-400 IS L

and occasionally 800mm . Still trying to push skills up to level of equipment.

What a wonderful set of wildlife photos in your collections. I am very impressed and (I must admit) a bit jealous! Keep up the excellent work.
