baris, your work is like this drumbeat, this tattoo, pounding and urging me to go, feel, notice, do. you have this sense of the scene, an emotional and psychological xray, that you use in the actual staging or noticing and then refine in postprocessing. you have noticed things in strangers that make me feel as though… Read more

baris, your work is like this drumbeat, this tattoo, pounding and urging me to go, feel, notice, do. you have this sense of the scene, an emotional and psychological xray, that you use in the actual staging or noticing and then refine in postprocessing. you have noticed things in strangers that make me feel as though i know them but forgot them; you have noticed nuances in my own photographs to which i was blind. your stream inspires me. some days i really need its sustenance.

the art of self introspection is taken to new levels of technical and aesthetic exploration in the photostream of kren. i am constantly fascinated, intrigued and inspired by the new permutations of self portraiture kren chooses to share with us here. some explore and play with beautiful blurs, textures and compositions, while others boldly reveal slices of the psyche. and of course his best, do both.

Kren is a very talented man. He likes to deconstruct himself and he's damn good at it. I'm in awe of him and am very happy to have him play with my images once in a while.

i know that kren would probably like this testimonial to be beamed down from outer space, but i thought that baris might prefer the eco friendly method! so here is 'one i made earlier' and i am recycling it from krens first flickr account it still stands "Rather late in coming forward regarding Kren's testimonial, my only excuse is that I felt my words inadeqate when it came to expressing how much I love his photographs. The image that first brought me here was of a building, then a street, then his garden series. Then his self portraits!!! Kren has been a great source of encouragement to me and he is very kind and helpful, (especially as when I first came on Flickr I didn't even have a decent camera) He still took time to comment. There is a thread of richness and honesty that runs through his work and I love it to bits!" also he does exist because i have met him!

Kren is a delightful guy to have around on flickr. I drool over his awesome talents as a photographer. His was the first stream I browsed through in amazement a year ago. He is always evolving his techniques, continually impressing me. Life is fluid and Kren's photography goes with the flow.
