*** THERE COULD BE NO HARMONY IF WE ALL SANG THE SAME NOTE ***
Nov 2020 ...broke my camera months sgo and couldn't afford to have it fixed or replaced. I've finally gotten fed-up and a ordering the component and am going to attempt brain surgery with chopsticks in a manor of speaking. I've never messed with the electronics in a dlsr before, but I've never been without a camera this long either! What do I have to lose? If it doesn't work i'm in exact same situation I am now, (broke camera and broke pocketbook.). UT. what if I manage to replace the component successfully?? we'll find out!
i'm learning to live again, rediscovering those things that brought me pleasure, fighting to regain confidence, a lot of work but progress is finally noticeable! Thanks for hanging in there with me. I'm starting to find "me" again, and working hard to help me shine again! I'm fighting my way back to the me in my bio below***
I'm a free spirited, fun loving, adventurous, honest, expressive person who appreciates all the quirks & peculiarities that shape our personalities. Recently I've been forced to accept that my (slightly warped) sense of humor apparently has a mind of it's own, interjecting when I least expect it.
Artistically pieces & parts draw my interest, patterns textures, lines, shadows, shapes, etc... I can see artistic beauty in just about anything. I enjoy exploring creative expression in many forms, one happens to be photography.
My work can seem fragmented and eclectic, some appreciate it others don't. My primary motivation is to continue learning and growing artistically, creatively, and personally. I have had some of my work published in a couple books, magazines, and even made the daily dozen on NatGeo once. Don't get me wrong, it's a rush when it happens...but I get the same rush from a photo that I feel took me to the next level.
(Gee is me because 'gretchen' has never fit me well)

G has been a personal BEST Friend & Close cohort in Crime/Photography Shoots for more than 30 years, We are alike in many ways & still very different in many more. She is my Best Flickr Groupie for comments both verbally & written, so if you are looking for constructive, both positive & negative she is your pal. G also sees ANYTHING in a different perspective than any other photographer I have ever known. Like I said above,,,Out of the BOX, Circle, Square, Triangle or whatever shape you are she will show you the other side! To my Best Friend,,,,Happy 40th & CHEERS on your new Canon! I've had contacts for quite some time, and known of others long before my time on Flickr; but my currently added contact of "G" has definitely become one of my faves. She's showing what community is all about. It's not about just posting pics, and only hoping that people give comments. But it's going out of your way to show admiration to the budding photographers out there. And G's abstract view of the world is one of those things to be admired. Most people take an overall view of things; but it takes a great eye and talent to realize the beauty in the small details. I struggle to take those types of pics, but I know I'll learn a thing or two from G. ..... also, I'm totally jealous of her Gallery of Otter pics. Her commentary is just phenomenal. ;)Read less
