Just another hack with a camera.

I got back into photography recently after a 20 year hiatus. I used to work as an industrial photographer where I had a darkroom at my disposal. When I left that job I also left photography as I couldn't afford the processing.

Sometimes I'm a little slow on the uptake, but it finally occurred to me that with digital cameras, you only process the ones you like. What a revelation!

So last Christmas I bought myself a Nikon D60 to get me back in the game. Great little camera. The quality is good and it has just enough features to make better pictures possible.

I haven't really found a style yet. I take landscapes, macro, portraits and snapshots. I've even done a wedding, first one since 1979. It was so nice to know if the shots were good without sweating it out waiting for the photos to get back from processing. Still nerve-wracking but much less so than in the past.

UPDATE: Now working with a Nikon D7000.
