Quiet Killdeer

The Killdeer are busy tending the hatching of their first clutch of eggs now so they are uncharacteristically quiet. Well, as quiet as a noisy Killdeer can be. That will change very quickly as the young become mobile and the parents turn to defensive displays such as the "broken wing act" to lure predators away from the chicks.
