Song Sparrow (Melospiza melodia)

The Song Sparrow (Melospiza melodia) is widely distributed and abundant throughout North America. It can be identified by is streaked breast with central spot and melodious song. It very similar to the Savannah Sparrow but the Savannah Sparrow has a slightly forked tail and yellow spots on the face.
