Lay down your arms
I found this water pistol lying in Berczy Park on Front St. in Toronto, in the detritus of a movie shoot.
They had apparently been shooting a snow scene, because the grass was covered in a kind of spray foam that was melting away in the puddles.
I don't know if this gun was part of the shoot, or just a kid's castaway, but the colour really leaped out at me.
I like the way the foam suds are swirling and draining away like puddles of gunsmoke, the orange pavement - even the little pine cones remind me of spent shell casings.
