San Benito County is a great place to learn the difference between Western and Cassin's Kingbirds. This Cassin's had a very prominent white chin patch and white-tipped tail. (The white tip of the tail is partially hidden behind the barbed wire.)


The raptor count for a whole day's worth of birding was very low. Presumably at least a few of those raptors are off breeding in places like the Pinnacles.
