Mitsubishi mover's motor

Even a modest- sized pantechnicon like this one, needs to have 3-axles because of the restrictive maximum axle weights applicable here in New Zealand. Many as-built 4x2 chassis are modified locally before hitting the NZ roads, by adding a trailing (non-driven) rear axle to achieve a higher gross weight and therefore a sufficient payload, without the risk of overloading the 8-tonne single axle limit.

Allied Pickfords, the careful movers are a global brand, are part of the US-based removal conglomerate SIRVA Incorporated and have 10 locations across New Zealand. They operate in excess of 100 commercial vehicles here.
