Andean Cock-of-the-Rock (4730)
The Andean Cock-of-the-Rock is remarkable for its lekking behavior, where in the morning males gather on territories to practice posturing as a means of competition for females. Leks are often in the forest understory, near streams of water. We were fortunate to catch a group of 3 males squawking for about 30 minutes.
