Western Wood-Pewee (0139)
Western Wood-Pewees visit Los Alamos every summer. They are vocal in the spring, nest in the mountains, and spend winters (October-April) in the tropics. These relatively small flycatchers have a diffuse vest and no eye ring, distinguishing them from the many empidonax flycatchers that are also here at the same time.
