Negros Spotted Kingfisher (Actenoides lindsayi moseleyi)

A very uncommon kingfisher from the montane forests of Negros and Panay Islands in the Philippines. We heard this male calling and after a long search it perched near my wife. She took this shot as I was unable to get into an open position. This species is always in dark forest and we had to use high ISO. Happy with the result though.
