Male Mountain Bluebird (Sialia Currucoides)
SERIES BEST VIEWED LARGE
I was out the door by 8:00 am this morning on the search for birds. It turned out to be a successful day as I travelled up and down the South Okanagan.
This series of shots are birds that were not yet on my 2010 Bird Species list.
This Mountain Bluebird is a first for me. Isn't he beautiful?!
The Spotted Towhee was a challenge; they like to hide under thick brush hopping backwards to rake up leaf litter searching for a tasty meal. 45 minutes of manual focusing and I finally got one half descent shot.
