Male Western Bluebird (Sialia mexicana)
Carol and I ventured out today in hopes of finding some Western Meadowlarks. We did hear one off in the distance but were not successful in spotting them. These beautiful little Western Bluebirds did make an appearance and hung around long enough for a photo shoot.
As you can see from the shot below, this little guy has been banded.
