Barn Owl chicks

Whoo-hoo! It's that time of the year again with the Barn Owl chcicks needing ringed. The boxes are run under the auspices of Falkirk Council and monitored by the Rangers and the Falkirk Wildlife Preservation Group Volunteers. We did the first three boxes today with 3 broods of 4. This lovely lady, Anne (she is in her eighties) runs a smallholding in the hills above Falkirk and we have a box in the yard. This was the smallest of the brood.
