Been wanting to take this picture for a year or two now.

I looked out of the window and saw a clear sky so loaded up the car and headed over to the Jack and Jill windmills in Hassocks.

This is a picture of the Jill Windmill.

I took a few minutes to set up my gear and take some test shots, this helped me to compose and get things like focusing right.

I took 58 shots at 30 seconds each which equates to around 29 minutes worth of shots, I wanted to stay a lot longer and take a couple of hundred but all of a sudden the wind picked up and these clouds came over really quickly, you can see them to the left in the picture.

When I saw the clouds getting closer I just started to paint the area with my 4D maglite torch covering everything from the sails to the grass in the foreground.
